Over PB&J

Throughout the busy work day, I am constantly looking forward to lunch. O and I have run into a problem that I am sure many of you face. What do I bring for lunch? I am so sick of PB&J that I either pack it and then gag it down, or I end up wasting it and waiting tell I get home to eat. One is sick of turkey on white that he pretty much gags it down.

It is always great to bring leftovers from the night before, but that does not happen on a daily basis. Going out is an expensive yet pleasing option that also only happens once in a while. Please help me with some ideas! It is even worse for me on Thursdays because I don't get to stop home for dinner. I usually just grab something because there is no way I could eat two PB&J's.

Please help me!!!

Snow? NO!!!

So the weekend went well! As you can see we danced it up at the family dance on Friday night. Saturday my Dad took us for a Cinegrill party. One of my favorite places to dine. While we were eating there, I found out my sister Marcie has been sneaking around at the Cinegrill without telling anyone. When we went to sit down the waitress said, "Oh your diva sister was here last night." That little shit! We thought it was hilarious that the waitress referred to her as a DIVA! ha ha.

Sunday we hung out at my Mom's house for the evening while the snow kept fallin down. She cooked a delicious roast beef dinner. Around 8:00 PM Marcie got a craving for pizza. So of course we ordered some- man I felt like the biggest heffer. I need to do some Yoga or Pilates tonight on Excercise OnDemand.

I LOVE this picture of One! What a stud muffin!

Happy 89th Birthday Grandpa Ula!

Our cute little Grandpa Ula turned 89 years old on January 23rd. One's family threw him a birthday dance and we all danced the night away. Grandpa is one of my favorite people in the world for the following reasons:

  1. At the family dances he dances more than anybody else
  2. He has great dance moves

  3. He will dance with me since my husband wont

  4. The yard always looks beautiful thanks to him
  5. He plants a beautiful vegetable garden - including delicious watermelon
  6. He wears pimpin suits and sometimes stunner shades

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!

So I got a request for a recipe today from Jamie, which made me think I should share the delightful recipe with everyone. 'One makes this killer chicken, much like Cafe Rio's, to put in tacos, enchiladas, nachos, etc.

So it is not an exact recipe, 'One just kind of wings it. What you do is:

Get a pot of boiling water, add to it various Mexican Spices:
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Garlic Powder
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Pepper
  • Anything your heart desires
Make sure there are plenty of spices to make the chicken more juicy and flavorful. Then add however many boneless chicken breasts you need and let them boil for about 45 minutes. After boiling, take the chicken out and it will shred wonderfully. Then put the chicken back in the boiling juices for about 10 minutes. It is then ready to serve as a fantastic Mexican Fiesta!

Enjoy!

2. She is the best cook in the world. (especially her pesto and roast beef dinner)
3. She always puts others first.
4. She birthed all of my wonderful brothers and sisters.
5. She is a computer wiz.
6. She is always doing service for others out of the kindness of her heart.
7. She is a great example to those around her.
8. She is an awesome bowler on the Wii (and in real life).

I hope you have a good birthday Mom! Love ya.

Hi-Ho Hi-Ho Back to Work We Go.....

Wow, the weekends seem to just fly by! One and I had a good relaxing weekend that went by a bit to fast. All day Saturday One was helping his dad paint the basement and I hate painting so I went with my Mom to Staci Jo's cheer competition....

Dang girl- look at that perfect toe touch. Her team took first place- they really did a good job.

I start my last semester of college today, and I am pretty excited to get it over with. Once I am done, I plan on concentrating my efforts on the following:

1. Painting
2. Getting a really nice sun tan
3. Sewing and Crocheting
4. Doing service
5. Cooking lavish dinners
6. Relaxing

BZZAgent

So while in one of my classes last semester I heard about a really cool online program. It is called BZZAgent. It is basically a word of mouth marketing program.

You sign up for free at: http://www.bzzagent.com/

Once you are signed up you get to try out products for free- this gives companies the chance for you to spread the word about their products in hopes that others will also try the products. The latest email I got is from Hoorray "Quick and Easy Photo Sharing" and I get to create a free photo album, which is worth $34.97. Some of the stuff is not really worth doing, but other things are great! I suggest you all give it a try:)

Copy Cat

My wonderful big sissy boo Jamie was in town from Washington DC for the Christmas Holiday. I always love it when she comes to visit. I have always looked up to all of my sisters while growing up; however, for some reason I really wanted to be just like Jamie. When I was in Jr. High School all of her friends would call me her little clone- wow did that make me feel good. I was always copying Jamie. Every outfit she would purchase, I would have my mom purchase me the same one. When I saw Jamie was wearing a particular outfit to school, I would then put on the same outfit. It would make Jamie furious. She hated me copying her. I was also very envious of her achievements. She was a great track star. When we were on the West Side Fliers it seemed she would always win Athlete of the Year. One year I tried my hardest all year to be the recipient of the coveted award. When the award was about to be announced I had the most nervous feeling in my stomach. The winner was.... Jamie! I admit, I was extremely jealous. About ten years later I told her this story and she said that I could have her award! How great is she. Now that we are both grown adults, I still find myself copying her. What can I say, I am just a copy cat.
