Cousins

Claire came over for a play date today. She was cracking me right up. I was taking a picture of the two of them and she put her arm around him. When he would try to crawl away she would grunt and try to force him to sit still. Ha ha. Funny little girl. She wanted to give him lots of loves and attention. Oh ya, I almost forgot, she even brushed his hair! What a sweet older cousin!

First Mother's Day!

This year was my first Mother's Day! I couldn't be more pleased with my little buddy. I absolutely love being a Mom. It is the hardest yet most rewarding job. Hendrix is the best baby a gal could ask for.

I hope I am as good of a mom as my Mom is. Here are some of the things that make my mom the best:
1. She knows more sports facts than my husband!
2. She is one tough cookie, and doesn't put up with any crap!
3. She serves others unconditionally, especially her kids!
4. She is the best cook in the world, and doesn't mind feeding us every Sunday!
5. She is the smartest person I know, I go to her with all my questions.
6. She gave me all my best friends in the world - 5 Sisters, 1 Brother!

Clap Your Hands!

Hendrix has learned a new trick! I give credit to the Your Baby Can Read DVD's. One of the words is clap and it shows lots of little babies clapping. He thinks he is pretty smart, and so do I!

We had our first slumber party. Olivia spent the night, Hendrix LOVES Olivia. He just stares at her. He loves all his many cousins!

Sunny California!

We took Hendrix on his first plane ride! We went to California to visit Jamie and Jared - and of course to meet their new addition Piper! She is such a doll, looks just like her mamma with little hints of Jared! I had forgotten how to deal with such a tiny little baby, even though it was only 6 months ago that Hen was that size! Piper is so delicate and precious. She is at such a sweet age! We fell in love with that little darling and miss her already.

I am not quite sure what Hendrix and Piper thought of each other! Piper would gaze at Hendrix and Hendrix would try to put his big old bear paws all over her! We had to be a little careful. I think Hendrix was a little jealous of the little Miss! He probably thought she was moving in and stealing his parents attention.

Thank you J&J! You guys were the best hosts - fed us good food, took us out to some neat places and made us feel right at home.
