Update... Finally

Holy cow, it has been a while since I have done a blog post. I feel like this is the best way to keep tabs on what is going on. I guess it is a good life history whether people are reading it or not! I promise to be better about blogging.

Well my little buddy is 2.5 years old! He is getting so big and talking so much. Here are some fun things about him:

1. He loves to ask people "What is your name?" When people ask him back he typically responds "Flynn Rider from Tangled" once in a while he will tell you he is Hendrix.

2. The kid is obsessed with Zombies and I give thanks to his Father for that one!

3. Every Saturday morning he asks for Chocolate Strawberries for breakfast!

4. He loves wearing mine, 'One's, or whoever's boots he can get his hands on.

5. We started him in toddler gymnastics and he loves it!

6. He hates nursery at church :(

7. He loves to tease all of his aunties. He told Jo the other day that he doesn't like her. I think that just means he likes her best of all.

8. His two favorite songs are Headlines by Drake and Thinking About You by Franc Ocean. This kid loves R&B like his Father!

9. Swinging - by far his favorite thing this year. Never mind the bikes or toys, all he wants to do is swing.

10. We brought him to the Taylorsville track with his bike the other day. He wanted nothing to do with his bike and insisted on racing us the whole time. I think we have got a track star on our hands!

California Girls!

Hendrix and I made a trip to see our two favorite California Girls - Jamie and Piper! Jared was headed to Philly and 'One was busy with school, so it was just Jamie, Piper, Hendrix and me. I was very nervous about the flights, but Hendrix was lovely! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD and M&M's saved my life. I am such a terrible Mother, letting Hendrix eat a whole package of M&M's on each flight. He was too cute looking out the window wondering where Piper and Jamie were, as if they were waiting outside the plane:) "Jamma where are you"

Our trip was a blast - Jamie lives in a luxurious neighborhood with beautiful landscaping and the most perfect Lagoon (fancy name for swimming pool). Hendrix was a little skeptical of the pool the first day, but he sure loved it the second and third time!



Piper and Hendrix were sure funny with each other. They both wanted the same toy at the same time! Hendrix would rip them out of Piper's hands, but she put up a good fight. Sharing has got to be the hardest lesson in life! I think Hendrix taught Piper some good tricks - like the word "My" she was saying "My Baby" by the time we left (referring to her baby doll that Hendrix was trying to steal). She also learned how to crawl backwards down the stairs - probably thanks to Claire as well who was there the week before us!


Here Hendrix was upset because Piper was trying to push him in the stroller - such Frienemies!


Look at this picture of Piper - she is such a California Babe! Jamie and Jared are going to have to lock her up when she is a teen.

18 Months Stats

Hello, My name is Hendrix and I am 18 Months Old!


I am 34" tall (93rd Percentile) and weigh 27 lbs (75th Percentile)!

Here are some fun things about me:

* I am a very social kid, being at a party makes me smile and giggle.
* I love learning peoples names, a persons name is the most important word to a person. This is how I win people over!
* I am a mimic, I will repeat anything you say - so be careful in your choice of words.
* Some of my favorite things to do these days include; reading books, playing outside, feeding Apache and playing with blocks.
* Lately I have been getting hives and my Mom and Dad can't seem to pinpoint the reason behind them. They don't bother me much.

All in all, I am just a fun kid to have around!

Bow Chicken Wow Wow

Bow Chica Wow Wow or "Chicken Wow Wow" as Hendrix likes to say it!

We are getting Spring Fever so bad! The weather is nice one day and then snows the next! Poor Hendrix doesn't know what in the world is going on.

Hendrix had a ball on Gma Martha's swing. I swear this kid has no fear! He rocks on Debba's rocking horse, leans his body back and then gets bucked off. He took a pretty hard buck the other day and instead of freaking out, we all started clapping. He looked at all of us like we were nuts! He didn't cry though. Love my little maniac boy!

Handsome Little Tongan Boy!

I love these pictures my Mom took of Hendrix! For whatever reason, these pictures actually make my little Hendrix look like a Tongan Boy!




Here are some fun new things Hendrix is doing:
1. Trying to jump, but he doesn't even get off of the floor!
2. Riding Debba's rocking horse like a wild Tongan Cowboy.
3. Calling his parents Jenny, Jenny Babe, Jenny Mom and 'One
4. Growing a thick mop of nappy curly hair - and I am trying to keep 'One from putting the clippers to his head! HELP!
5. Saying "Oh Toodles" as he puts his chubby hands around his mouth. This comes from his favorite show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Gotta love wild 1.5 year old boys!

Bath Time

Don't let this face fool you. I am not as sweet as I look. In fact as Debba likes to say, he is a MANIAC!



No, No No - you don't stand up in the bath tub Hendrix! This is his favorite thing to do! Once during this bath time he stood up with two wet wash cloths and whipped them around like a cowboy. Yep, I was soaked.



Ya, I am pretty sure Claire is NEVER going to want to bathe with Hendrix again. As she likes to say "Hennie smack water". He was splashing all around while Claire sat there wondering what was going on!



Ohhh, they sure had fun! I think Hendrix was just so excited to bathe with a friend, he got a little out of control!

Naughty or Nice?

Christmas time is coming soon. Santa is making a list and checking it twice. Hmmmm, has Hendrix been naughty or nice? Well he is pretty naughty, but it is stinking cute! I have been spending a lot of quality time with my little cousin Baby Nau - she is 4 years old. I keep telling her she has to behave because the elf's are watching her. She looks at me as if I am on crack! Haha, my parents used that on us kids so much when we were little!

We put up our Christmas tree and the bottom half has no ornaments because he kept taking them off! I couldn't handle it and took them off! It still looks okay, right?


Hendrix got an early Christmas Present. This cool little tent and tunnel. It entertains him for hours. He thinks it is hilarious to crawl in there and put his toys in the tent.



Ohhhhh.... And we have been doing a lot of teething. Maybe that is why he is so naughty! Look at all those pearly whites!


This is the bike that Debba and Poppy Val got Hendrix. He thinks it is pretty neat. Can't believe he is almost big enough to actually drive it!

1 Year Old!

So our little buddy had a birthday! Can you believe it has already been a year? Well we can't, it has gone by so stinking fast. It has been the best year ever.

Here are his stats from the Dr's Office:
Height: 32 Inches (95th Percentile)
Weight: 23 lbs 4 oz (65th Percentile)
Head: 80th Percentile

He is such a busy little 1 year old. He is walking around like a mad man and is saying a lot of words. Some of the more clear words are: Mommy, Oh yeah, No, Mine, Love You, Hello and Uma (kiss). He loves his cousins, but doesn't like sharing his toys. Sometimes he will give you an Uma if you ask, other times he will hit you right in the face! One word to describe him is FLIRT - he loves cute young girls and will flirt with them in an instance. The Itsy Bitsy Spider is his favorite song and he has learned majority of the actions. He actually loves any song with actions, and picks up on the actions very easily. He is just so much fun to have around!

We have done lots of fun things to celebrate his Birthday.

First off - the week before his birthday we headed to Southern California to visit Jamie, Jared and Piper. From there we went to Fresno to watch his Uncle Tapa play some football!




On his actual birthday, we went to his favorite place for dinner - Chuck-a-Rama! Ha ha, he loves eating loads of Mashed Potatoes and Gravy and all the other goodies!



Then to top it off, we held a Costume Party for all his cute friends and cousins. Everyone had a blast!
