California Girls!

Hendrix and I made a trip to see our two favorite California Girls - Jamie and Piper! Jared was headed to Philly and 'One was busy with school, so it was just Jamie, Piper, Hendrix and me. I was very nervous about the flights, but Hendrix was lovely! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD and M&M's saved my life. I am such a terrible Mother, letting Hendrix eat a whole package of M&M's on each flight. He was too cute looking out the window wondering where Piper and Jamie were, as if they were waiting outside the plane:) "Jamma where are you"

Our trip was a blast - Jamie lives in a luxurious neighborhood with beautiful landscaping and the most perfect Lagoon (fancy name for swimming pool). Hendrix was a little skeptical of the pool the first day, but he sure loved it the second and third time!



Piper and Hendrix were sure funny with each other. They both wanted the same toy at the same time! Hendrix would rip them out of Piper's hands, but she put up a good fight. Sharing has got to be the hardest lesson in life! I think Hendrix taught Piper some good tricks - like the word "My" she was saying "My Baby" by the time we left (referring to her baby doll that Hendrix was trying to steal). She also learned how to crawl backwards down the stairs - probably thanks to Claire as well who was there the week before us!


Here Hendrix was upset because Piper was trying to push him in the stroller - such Frienemies!


Look at this picture of Piper - she is such a California Babe! Jamie and Jared are going to have to lock her up when she is a teen.


A big thanks to Jamie for hosting us in California - we already want to come back!

Piper and Hendrix

How fun for Claire, Hendrix and Piper. To be cousins so close in age. They had so much fun while Piper was here visiting!

Piper did not know what to think about Hen. He was loud, I think he was trying to show off, let her know who is boss! ha ha. He was just trying to teach her the ropes. Hendrix sure loved Piper, he wanted to kiss her and scratch her. That is when you know Hendrix really likes you!!!

Sunny California!

We took Hendrix on his first plane ride! We went to California to visit Jamie and Jared - and of course to meet their new addition Piper! She is such a doll, looks just like her mamma with little hints of Jared! I had forgotten how to deal with such a tiny little baby, even though it was only 6 months ago that Hen was that size! Piper is so delicate and precious. She is at such a sweet age! We fell in love with that little darling and miss her already.

I am not quite sure what Hendrix and Piper thought of each other! Piper would gaze at Hendrix and Hendrix would try to put his big old bear paws all over her! We had to be a little careful. I think Hendrix was a little jealous of the little Miss! He probably thought she was moving in and stealing his parents attention.

Thank you J&J! You guys were the best hosts - fed us good food, took us out to some neat places and made us feel right at home.

Moving Backwards!

Little Mr. Hendrix has decided to start to maneuver his way around, the only problem, he moves himself backwards! Ha. Crazy little guy.

We are getting so excited to meet little Miss Piper! We go to Cali a week from Wednesday! Oh, we have so much to get organized for our trip. This will be Hen's first plane ride and vacation!

Princess Piper!

Piper has made her grand entrance! She was a couple of days late, but so worth the wait! Born February 25th 3:20 AM! She weighed in at 6lbs 4oz and 21 inches long. We are all so sad that we don't get to be with Jamie and Jared right now. We all have trips coming up soon and can't wait to meet this sweet little princess!
